Appearance: While Axar retains the common traits of his people, from the natural body armor of their lesser forms to the organic polycarbonate that makes up the glass-like portions of their skulls and the center of the chests, his pigmentation is entirely different. The whites of his body are often less bright, fading into the beige under the right light. Black highlights are darker, sharper. And his skin, where exposed, is a low-saturation red or orange to match the polycarbonate present throughout his body. He is the very image of the Scorch Clan, from his hot colors to his simmering thirst to exercise the inherent power of the Changeling people in combat.
Background: Not all Changelings are of the Cold Clan variety. Some hail from lesser-known clans, and Axar is one of those. Born of the Scorch clan, with their distinctive skin tones of orange and red, considered by the Cold Clan to be far too much like the primitive Saiyans for their own love of battle and conquest. Historically, the Scorch Clan opposed the use of the Saiyans to conquer other worlds, as they would have preferred to do it themselves, in contrast to the Cold Clan desire to not dirty their hands directly if they could manage otherwise.
This has, over the generations, created a rift among the members of the Scorch Clan who feel looked down upon by the Cold Clan despite being haughty and superior themselves. In Axar, this rift has burned particularly strongly, as he found himself born with immense power far in excess of the natural strength of his people -- a secret he has kept with almost religious devotion.
As a way to thumb his nose to the ruling elites of the Changelings, Axar has lived his young life as a Changeling primarily as a bounty hunter throughout the universe. He has tracked the likes of Kanassans, Konatsians, Humans, and recently even Saiyans. He has even captured others to be converted into cyborg servants, a practice common among the Scorch Clan who seek to bolster their numbers by enslaving the very brains of "lesser" races. In the background, he has worked to prepare himself, and to aid the revolutionary sects among his people, to overthrow the Cold Clan that has for so long dominated Changeling societies throughout the universe.
